[Hanekoma's grinning as casually as ever, but he looks a little flushed, and are those dark circles under his eyes?

That's definitely a drippy-looking nose. Maybe he shouldn't have been running around in short sleeves and sandals after all.]

I was just wonderin' if anybody out there's got tea leaves they're willin' ta trade. I prefer green, but I'll take black or herbal if that's what you've got.

[Thoughtful.] I can trade ya fresh eggs, meat, or --

[He turns the camera to display a half-finished tempera mural in black and white covering one wall of his room -- it's a boldly outlined forest of graffiti-style skyscrapers seen from above, dwindling down to tiny streets under a brilliant sky.] --we can work out a trade for some wall art.

[He pauses to stifle a hacking cough.] Speak up quick, just in case goin' out gets tricky again in a day or two!

Oh yeah? Hey, you'd be welcome if you wanna drop by -- what'd you like in trade?

[He smiles.] Dunno about helpin' with the cold, though. I'm not sure just how that'd work on me.

Fresh eggs'd be good. I can make omelettes for the boys, they'd like omelettes - I think.

I can try? If it doesn't work, I'll promise to not turn you into a toad by mistake? [ pokes the tip of her tongue out, playfully.]

Eggs it is! We've got five or six from the ducks this mornin'.

Ha! How about we talk theory first and then you give it a shot? Can't say I hate the idea of gettin' better fast.

Ooh, duck eggs? That's so cool, they're hard to find at home.

Sure, I'll bring over the tea.

They're those peacock ducks -- I keep 'em in the back yard. Eggs taste fine, though!

[He grins.] Think ya know where the place is, right? Just come on in.

[her face lights up at that - so cool.] Peacock ducks? I have to see these!

Yeah, I'll be right there.

I can introduce ya if you like. [He chuckles.] See ya in a few!

[Willow ends the feed and slips the PCD in her pocket. After shrugging on her fuzzy overcoat, she steps outside and takes to the skies. So much quicker than walking all the way there. Within a few minutes, she touches down outside the front door and knocks]

[Fast enough that Hanekoma was still in his room; he heads out, not bothering to tie a kerchief over his mouth for Josh's germ phobia.

Okay, so it was justified, if Josh still had the kind of immune system he'd had as a living man; still.]

Hey there, Willow! [He grins as he pulls the door open.] That was fast. C'mon in.

Yeah, I flew over, huh? [she chuckles]

Thanks.

[He stands back to clear her way, stifling a cough in his sleeve.] Useful trick, ain't it?

So the eggs are in the kitchen... what is this you're plannin' to do about my cold again?

[He leads the way to the kitchen as he speaks. It's only the next room; not far to walk.]

Well, I do know some healing. I usually tend to wounds but I can give it a try anyway.

How much's it depend on what ya use it on?

I'm not exactly your standard human.

Not much, I rarely use it on standard humans, actually. I've used it most often on werewolves and Slayers.

How about... let's go for some shorthand here... the dead?

I haven't tried it on the dead before. [there is an honest tone to her voice] I don't know if it will work, but it can't hurt to try?

.........I have cast spells on the dead before. I know how different it can be. I've healed someone who had died and was resurrected.

Hmmmm.

[He eyes her.] Ya know, it's an interestin' thought, but I'm not sure I wanna risk somethin' goin weird when all I've got is the sniffles.

Maybe we oughta skip the experiments unless I get really sick, huh?

Okay. I hope you don't get really sick, though.

Yeah, me too! Believe me, it's miserable enough havin' a cold. I won't ignore it if I start gettin' sicker.

Good! Being sick is no fun.

Never was a favorite pastime of mine.

[He snorts. Hell, it killed him once.] You take care too, huh, Willow? The fewer people runnin' around sneezin' the better.

I can heal myself just fine. [she waves a dismissive hand and chuckles] Cured myself of a partial lobotomy once, I can handle a little cold.

[He's almost tripping at that, and shooting her a surprised sideways glance. How is it you always catch him off guard with these revelations, Willow?]

Sounds like there's quite a story there.

[she is good at that, saying unexpected things with an upbeat voice and a smile]

I got kidnapped by a former friend and her boyfriend who uh...didn't like me very much. They pulled me through a portal and restrained me, then performed a lobotomy. They were only partway through when Buffy arrived; but it gave me time to slip my consciousness to another realm and heal myself. Not even a scratch. [she sounds pleased with her - admittedly amazing - feat]

That's pretty impressive.

[Shaking his head, composure regained, and picking up a slightly chipped bowl full of duck eggs from the kitchen counter.]
