[Yeah, that cut-off little snap! noise might've been a shock, but it's a little hard to tell from the unruffled Japanese drawl as the video comes on to show a section of wall splashed with brightly colored graffiti art. The image pans over a tree dripping red and yellow, leaves swirling into a blue cloud, fish leaping over crosses that cast writhing shadows that bleed into a riotous nebula of green and gold. A few small drifts of snow have collected at the bottom edge of the wall.]

Just so ya know for the next couple days: Caution, wet paint. Anybody wanna name another spot around here that needs spicin' up?

[The video feed pans back to Hanekoma's grinning face, looking a little worse for wear without eyebrows and stubble noticeably patchier than usual.]

Speakin' of things that could use work... hey Alpha, you got a roaster in that coffee shop, and can I borrow it for a batch or two?

Anybody wants to talk me into trading some coffee beans for brewin' or sproutin', just make an offer.

Oh, and, I do! Er, sort of. It's kind of old and junked up, but it works perfectly well. You can use it any time you like.

Not at all, actually. Just that the small one is close to the one back home in terms of cycles, which is pretty easy to tell.

Joshua sat and watched the man make the finishing touches on the work, barely visible and vibe out of sync, admiring more the devotion and work ethic rather than the piece itself. Sure, the man was talented - incredibly so - he just didn't quite understand the mass following CAT had. Must just be an issue of personal taste and slight-yet-positive brainwashing tendencies.]

[He waited some time before he bothered to speak up, tone casually reminiscent to mask the "okay, let's talk" that he actually meant.]

I don't know, the blood had been a nice touch.

[Hanekoma smirked, standing back and giving his can of spray-paint a shake. He didn't bother to turn around; the voice was distinctive enough.]

Nah, didn't fit my image. It worked pretty well into the brown over there, though.

[He flipped a hand towards one of the murkier corners of the image. So Josh had come out of hiding, huh? Finally. And of his own free will - well, unless Phones had decided to pull a full-scale campaign, but Josh'd sound grumpier if that were the case.]

[Recapping the paint can - in this weather, he was afraid it'd frost over - he turned and scanned the street. Nothing, which meant... ah. There. The imprint on the snowy pile of debris just behind him.]

[Joshua followed his gaze. Ah, stupid single plane. He shrugged and shifted to make himself visible, ignoring the thought of how Neku would really call him a stalker if he caught him doing that.]

[Since, you know, that knowing look was not becoming on Sanae's face and shooting it down was actually his way of doing the man a favor.]

Unless the weather turns exceptionally sour, no.

Every full moon where you're from, huh? That's funny.

We weren't sure what it was about the full moons that caused it... but at least it made it easy to prepare.
