Well, a week or two ago we had a couple of earthquakes that were probably caused by a volcano. When it erupted, the sky was darkened for a few days by the ash.

I can't say I'm familiar with it raining ash for so long, but it all seems to be caused by that volcano.

Well, I'm sure the majority prefers the latter. Things like that are always preferable.

But in a situation like this, if you think you're going to have things handed to you, then you're sorely mistaken. We all have to work for what we get here, which... I don't know. Instills some character.

I don't know. I think I've gotten to be a bit nicer, and I'm more or less able to stand up for myself, now.
