Sorry 'bout that, guys. I'm in one piece.

...Still got it, too, Sho. Pockets're useful that way.

Everybody else all right? And, Shiki, that offer of crash space still open? I'd be obliged. Seems like the old place's a fixer-upper all of a sudden.

No need to apologize, it's interestin'.

What do ya mean, built with you in mind?

[identity profile] latteheart.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
Eh...?

...AH! Because! Because I'm a robot! S-sorry, I...I should have mentioned that...! Heh heh heh...

[She is so embarrassed.]

[identity profile] greatcuppajoe.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
...Huh.

So lemme guess, humanoid robots're pretty common where you're from? We haven't got 'em in my world.

[identity profile] latteheart.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
Ah...common enough, I suppose. Well, I mean, I haven't met many others myself, but that's just me. I don't...get out much, ahaha. But yes...everyone knows about them, so I'm used to people recognizing me for what I am. That's why I forgot.

[identity profile] greatcuppajoe.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
No reason to apologize. Guess I oughta be payin' better attention, hmm?

Interestin', that. Where are you from again?

[identity profile] latteheart.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Heh...not really. I've been told it...can be hard to tell, sometimes. Especially here. Ah, after all, I've seen a lot of things here that aren't normal back home, so...who can tell anything for certain, right?

Ah...I'm from Japan. Though, I've heard others say the same, but they really don't sound the same as my Japan. It might as well be another world.

[identity profile] greatcuppajoe.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
It might be something like my Japan... who knows? What year is it?

[identity profile] latteheart.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
The year? Ah...2074. And you?

[identity profile] greatcuppajoe.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
...That might explain it some! 2007.

Could still be an alternate, but a lot can happen in seventy years.

[ooc; All right! I'm vaguely familiar with Alpha's canon, but only vaguely~]

[identity profile] latteheart.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! Ah, that would clear things up, wouldn't it? Ahaha.

Um...could you tell me a bit of what it's like in your world? You might not have robots, but things like alternate dimensions don't seem to surprise you...

[identity profile] greatcuppajoe.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
I've been here long enough to pick up on how many different ones the scientists're pulling people from... and we've got that kinda thing on SF shows every other episode, you know?

My world's got tech up to cell phones, computers, limited space travel, television - nothin' as advanced as what they've got around here, and our fanciest robots are manufacturin' and exploration models.

[identity profile] latteheart.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
Haaa...even if you hear stories about it, they're just stories...I'd think having it actually happen to you would be a bit more surprising.

Hm...that doesn't sound too different, actually...technology back home isn't really beyond that.

[identity profile] greatcuppajoe.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
I've gotta admit it was a shock to find myself here!

Oh? Interestin'. Wonder why not?

[identity profile] latteheart.livejournal.com 2009-07-14 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
Heh...same for everyone else, I'm sure.

Mm...probably because of everything that happened...advancing technology really became less of a priority. I guess you could say...people probably began to want a simpler life.
